Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift Full Time Amherst OH 44001

Profile

This position starts at $18.63/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We have open positions for second shift.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs

• Perform emergency mechanical or electrical repairs

• Perform preventing maintenance

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic Plant equipment

• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure

• Support production in addressing equipment problems during shift

• Handle all mechanical problems that may arise in a fast pace environment

• Ensure work area is clean at all time

• Record keeping and attention to detail

Requirements:

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly during shift

• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally

• Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day

• Must work in cold/hot temperatures ranging from -20 to 100 degrees

• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping

• Frequent overhead work

• Basic Math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements

• Must be able to work overtime and weekends

• Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of mechanic work experience or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
