Profile

The Presser will be responsible for operating pressing machines, which include both hydraulic and steam devices, to remove wrinkles from pants, shirts, coats, gowns, and a variety of other articles to shape them appropriately.

Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

U

sing all laundry equipment and following

appropriate safety

standards;

Shaping garments and removing wrinkles after they have been through the dry-cleaning process and

associate clothing with care.

Package finished coats and dresses, and tag

them

accordingly to company guidelines so they are ready for

customers

to

pick up

Clean pressing machine at the end of every shift, using

company

-provided lubricants and cleaning solutions to ensure they are ready for the next day

andling requests for

pressing

in a timely manner

Performs other duties as assigned by the Staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of one years’ experience in laundry experience preferred.

Flexible hours including Saturdays and some holidays

Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Qualifications

A well-grounded knowledge of dry-cleaning concepts or the potential to be trained

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Ability to make sound judgments in determining the care, maintenance, preservation and good appearance of physical properties
