Baker Jobs description
A baker produces bread and confectionery products such as loaves, pastries, cakes, biscuits, and other savories. The job of a baker involves weighing and measuring ingredients; mixing, dividing, and shaping dough, baking different kinds of bread, pastry, and cakes; products decorating; and slicing and wrapping finished products. In a plant bakery, a baker prepares products out of different types of bread and confectionery items. In an in-store bakery, bakers usually use semi-automatic machinery. Here they may use machines that slice, seal, and wrap bread, and might also serve customers. A craft bakery is a place where bakers usually work with hand, though they may also use some machinery. Bakers have to start work very early, and usually work in shifts.A baker job may require experience and knowledge in bakery products. No specific qualification may be required. An entry lever baker job can be sought working as trainee baker. A qualification in food technology or hotel management would be an advantage.
