Longview Tops State in Job Growth

According to the Texas Workforce Commission, 2,600 jobs were created in Longview, Texas, this year.
Labor market analyst Downey said that Longview had the highest job growth rate in Texas for the month of June. However, the Longview unemployment rate was still at 4.6% for the month of July.
It is also reported that Longview had the 10th lowest unemployment rate out of 27 metro areas within Texas.
