This is a 1st shift position that has a rotating work schedule. The base rate of pay will range from $23.30/hour to $27.41/hour, depending on experience. This position is also eligible for overtime pay.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Thisincludes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, and troubleshooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility.

Performs work involving hydraulics, pneumatic electrical, and mechanics in general, as well as some welding.

Sets up, adjusts, and breaks down production line machinery and complete daily documentation, as required.

All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety

Performs other duties, as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High School diploma, GED, or on-the-job training

Six (6) months of continuous employment within the last 4 years required

Must have at least six (6) months of mechanic work experience or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (must be documented in the work history section of the application)

Requires standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 70 lbs.

Work while standing or walking on hard floors for a period of up to 12 hours

Ability to use stairs/ladders, work on elevated surfaces, and at various heights.

Requires working weekends, overtime, and holidays, as needed.

Requires ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all Team Members and management

Ability to read manuals to repair equipment safely.

Ability to record information using company-provided forms and procedures.

Requires working knowledge of basic computer skills to record information, as needed, in company computer system.

Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm to cold/freezing, where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas.
