Position Description:

This position starts at $25.04/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We have open positions for second shift.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will require providing electrical and technical support for the production effort. The Associate must have a strong working knowledge of plant mechanical and electrical systems, motors, pumps, boilers, and air compressors. Must be team oriented. The associate will need to be dependable, require little or no supervision and will be required to work overtime as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshoot and maintain programmable logic controllers.

Work overtime as needed and or required on weekdays and weekends to ensure all plant equipment is repaired and maintained in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Must have basic understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and welding skills.

Must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical and electronic equipment with minimum amount of supervision.

Maintain and repair other associated equipment as directed.

Be proficient in the use of basic hand tools and power tools.

Perform any and all duties as required and instructed by Supervisors.

REQUIREMENTS:

Working knowledge of 120, 208, 240 and 480 VAC circuits.

Working knowledge of DC voltages and circuits.

Working knowledge of circuit breakers, line diagrams, schematics and blue prints.

Proper use volt/ohm meter, megohmmeter, analog and digital meters.

How to properly install 120 VAC male plugs, female cord caps, receptacles, light switches motors.

Have working use and knowledge of basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers and channel locks.

Ability to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours

Working knowledge of computers and PLC’s. Good troubleshooting skills, verbal and communication skills.

Ability to follow instructions precisely, develop working relationship with production, maintenance and managers.

Willingness to learn, accept responsibility and work with little or no supervision.

High School Diploma / GED required.

Documented technical training preferred.

Minimum 6 months cumulative industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.

May occasionally be required to lift 50 pounds.

Must be able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.

INTERNAL: Must not more than 5 attendance occurrences. Must not have a disciplinary suspension on file in the past 6 months. Must be in your current position for a minimum of six (6) months.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL: Must have a minimum 6 cumulative months industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
