This facility requires all applicants to be fully COVID vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated is two weeks after the final vaccination dose. The booster dose is recommended but not required at this time.

Location: Fresh Plant (2nd Processing)

Position: Lead – Maintenance Generalist

Work Shift: 3rd Shift (9:30 pm – 6:00 am)

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

SUMMARY:

This Maintenance Lead position could include working in various departments of this poultry processing facility.

Daily tasks will include, but not limited to:

Assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly

Setting-up, breaking down, and adjusting production line machinery to ensure continuous flow of production.

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Basic computer skills will be necessary to log information into Tyson software to process daily work orders and complete required documentation.

The ability to communicate effectively and basic math skills as needed will be necessary to perform this job at a satisfactorily level.

The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.

Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs.

The position could be performed in a cold, damp, or hot environment and these areas will have slippery surfaces.

Position Specific:

The successful candidate for this position must possess:

3 years prior industrial maintenance experience.

Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word and Excel

Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical

Previous poultry processing experience preferred
