Position Summary

The Asset Protection Teammate is primary responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental health program compliance in the Distribution House (DH). The Asset Protection Teammate will utilize different resources to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the DH’s physical security and driving a shrink elimination culture. This individual will work the following schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday 4am-12:30PM

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general financial statements, investigative reports, technical procedures and policies and procedures.

Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting any investigations, as well as preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil court actions.

Ability to utilize CCTV hardware and software..

Ability to effectively present information to and interface with various departments including, but not limited to, DH Operations, Information Technology, Legal, HR, and Retail.

Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality when conducting investigations and handling information.

Ability to prepare and deliver verbal presentations to DH personnel.

Must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with operating management while leading objective internal audits.

Assist in maintaining all aspects of access control, including, but not limited to, visitor management, card access management and ID badge creating and management.

Assist in supervising contract security guards.

Ensure adherence of FTZ/C-TPAT requirements.

Complete daily patrols to ensure compliance to all physical security controls.

Execute a set of minimum standards that include, daily, weekly and monthly internal audits and assessments focused on asset protection policies and safety and environmental health standards.

Test and maintain security system equipment related to the overall physical security program.

Must be able to promote an environment of physical security that mitigates the threat of cargo theft, including, but not limited to, ensuring security seal integrity, applying and auditing trailer/container security devices and managing a freight GPS tracking program.

Must possess good communication, organizational, time management and personal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.

Demonstrated skill to inspire and motivate others to perform well.

Excellent presentation skills and ability to handle multiple projects.

Ability to work independently.

Education And / Or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred;

6 months warehouse experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of warehouse management systems, warehouse control systems, Excel, running reports and interpreting and communicating data/metrics.

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; ability to follow detailed instructions both written and verbally, ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures; ability to apply concepts of basic math. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with digital camera systems and card access software
