Job Description

This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on diesel engine trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Functions

To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture

Receive training as required

Perform various positions as required/assigned

Description

To make repairs and or PM (preventative maintenance) on Live Haul, Feed Haul and Service Vehicles.

Tasks

Perform PM (Preventative Maintenance) Tires, Brakes, & Electrical Inspection. Must be willing to work in high humidity, slippery floors, must be willing to work in hot/cold temps. Must be willing to perform heavy lifting up to 70 # periodically throughout the day. Must be willing to climb stairs.Must have no violations that would prevent being cleared to drive a Tyson vehicle. This position requires bending, stooping, reaching, lifting) this position includes keeping vehicle safe and in good working condition. Must be willing to perform any job as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Team member must have his/her own tools. Must have no violations that would prevent being cleared to drive a Tyson vehicle.

The team member selected must have 4 ½ points or less to bid and at 5 points will be required to return to general production to an open available position. Team Members must have no written warnings in the previous 12 Months to be considered.

Schedule Wed- 11am to 5pm

Thurs-Fri - 5am to 4pm

Saturday 5am to 5pm

Pay Scale- Start: $20.65- 20.85
