Description:

We are currently recruiting a Cleaning Supervisor at to be responsible for the delivery of a high quality environment across a diverse range of University facilities. You will Supervise a team of Cleaning Staff, reporting to the Cleaning Services Team Leader and work closely with a Senior Cleaner. Through your activities each individual staff member contributes to a positive student experience, supporting students throughout their journey, from enquiry to alumni, providing a culture that engages students as genuine partners with University of Plymouth. You should have recent supervisory and customer service experience within a busy, ever changing, ‘people focused’ environment where deadlines and logistical challenges must be met on a daily basis. A working knowledge of health and safety, manual handling and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) are also required. You will hold an NVQ in Management/Team Leading and Cleaning or equivalent (or have the willingness to achieve). A reasonable degree of physical fitness and the ability to move, lift and carry equipment, supplies and waste bags will be required. You will have effective communication, administrative and computer skills. You may be required to work and supervise staff anywhere within the University campus and will be expected to be flexible with your hours of work when required.
