JOB TITLE: Order Selector

GRADE: III

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Log in on truck order. Product must be properly counted, stacked, and placed on good wood. Responsible for ensuring no damaged product is on pallet. Order selector will be held accountable for the accuracy and quality of the load.

MUSCULAR/SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB: Must be able to tolerate working in freezer (-5 degrees F.) up to 12 hours per day doing continuous physical labor in a cold, humid environment. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently. Must have complete manual dexterity. Must be able to use correct lifting procedures such as bending at the knees and pivoting to stack product (up to 12 hours per day). Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to stand while operating forklift Must be able to twist while standing, looking over shoulder, in order to drive lift backward. Must be able to bend knees to climb up and down steps of lift 75 to 100 times per day.

OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: In order to work safely in this environment, individuals must meet vision requirements of 20/40 or better and be able to hear normal conversation.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB: High School Diploma/GED preferred Must be able to do basic math: addition, subtraction and multiplication. Must be certified to operate a forklift.
