CDL Driver Jobs description
A CDL driver is responsible for delivery of products from location to location via heavy commercial vehicle including trucks, flatbeds, reefers, or tankers. A CDL driver may be responsible for overseeing loading and unloading products onto the vehicle; this may involve climbing ladders and walking on top of a vehicle. Reconciling truck shipping and loading documents including DOT documents mat also be required.A CDL driver should possess a valid class A or B CDL license, as required. A CDL driver is mostly required to be at least 21 years of age and have had some experience in driving commercial vehicles. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred for most positions. Knowledge of safe driving procedures, a clean driver's record, and having a valid medical DOT card is mostly essential. Graduation from a truck driving school may also be a requirement for such jobs.
