An analyst position is a skilled blue-collar job, one in which the incumbent makes use of his/her expertise in an area in order to analyze the work being performed. The prime motives for hiring analysts are process optimization, resources utilization, energy auditing, and quality improvement.The various analyst positions in blue-collar projects include service technical analyst, maintenance analyst, facilities maintenance analyst, aviation maintenance analyst, test analyst, reliability-centered maintenance analyst, maintenance and repair analyst, service parts analyst, component repair analyst, construction analyst, facilities analyst, and associate construction analyst, among others.
