Driver Jobs
A driver is responsible for driving a vehicle safely and transporting customers or their goods to the directed destination. A driver is responsible for performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; performing minor maintenance tasks on the vehicles when necessary; fueling the vehicles; ensuring that periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is completed and reported; preparing trip reports; documenting customer usage; preparing accident and incident reports as necessary; providing safety briefing to customers; ensure timely arrival; assisting passengers and handicapped customers in and out of the vehicle; taking vehicles for servicing when required; and providing other services as requested by the management.
A driver usually is required to have a high school diploma or GED. Minimum 21 years of age is required for most positions. A driver's license is essential. Possessing and maintaining safe driving record is an advantage. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, managers, and other persons is required.
